WordPressMU 1.0 is out

WordPressMU aka WordPress Multi-User 1.0 is available for download. Now I wish someone, who has used both, would tell me in detail the differences between Lyceum (a fork of wordpress that creates multi-blog installs) and WordPressMU 1.0. :)

Lyceum is a fork. So, the code has been independently developed from wordpress..

I have recently tried WordPressMU, and i haven’t had any problems. Lyceum looks pretty much the same..

The recent WordPressMU is stable, but is still lacking…

here’s a snippet FAQ from Lyceum website:

Q: How different is the Lyceum code from the WordPress code?
A: Almost every SQL statement has been changed. There have been many changes made to add security that is needed in a multi-blog environment. In terms of features and the vast majority of business logic, essentially none of the other code has been changed. Lyceum is currently synchronized with WordPress 2.x, and will continue to synchronize its codebase with future WordPress releases.

In theory they are the same.. but behind the scenes, it may be different.. for users in general.. NO DIFFERENCE AT ALL…
