Fake Robo calls from Republicans?

There are several reports out there about political telemarketer style phone calls, aka Robo calls. Personally I don’t like any of them. I don’t care who they come from. Whether they be Democrats or Republicans. Slapped on top of this annoyance is a new dirty wrinkle.

Supposedly people in several states (reported in Philly, Kansas, NH, CT, NY, NC) are getting phone calls along the line of “Hello, I’m Calling With Information About ….”. People hang up right away and don’t listen to the whole message. If they listened to the whole thing they might have discovered the call wasn’t from the Democrat candidate but supporters of his or her opponent. It appears the goal is to piss off voters and sway there vote in the opposite direction. Thanks for the heads up Lance.
